Tech killed from a storm?

Have you ever had a piece of technology plugged in while it was storming and then a well place bolt of lightening killed anything plugged in your home?

Luckily this has never happened to me. I do have surge/power protectors installed just in case.

I did ruin a pocket computer by swimming in the Irish Sea fully clothed.

I had a surge protector blow up once, thankfully my main tech remain safe but sadly my modem power cord bit the dust.

This happened to my modem too, thus after the incident, every time there is/are sign/s of thunder/s or thunders (not the Thunder Thunder Thundercats kind lol) I always unplug my modem right away.

LOL and the costume? surely Daredemon needs some superhero costume too for battling the villainous lightning storms, protecting the tech for the good of Gaming Latest.
