Tekken for Android?

Soul Calibur is already out for Android. So is Street Fighter IV HD. Both games are solid and are worth playing. So why not make an Android version of Tekken? I've already seen a Tekken card game on Android (which was definitely lame). Why doesn't Namco make a mobile version of maybe Tekken 5? Or Tekken Tag Tournament?

I agree. They definitely should release it on mobile, in my opinion. I'm addicted to Tekken and I'd play it even on mobile as long as they execute it properly. That said, I'd be worried that they would over-simplify it for touch screens, so maybe that's why they are holding off.

I do agree with you too. I mean, there are a lot of fighting games on mobile, so I really don't see why Tekken isn't doing the same thing. I really enjoy having fighting games on my mobile phone just so I can kill boredom.

I love tekken, but just can't get used to playing games on my new andriod phone.

But thanks for letting me know Soul Calibur was on it, will have to give it a try later.

The controls for the mobile version of Soul Calibur are not overly simplified so there's hope that if ever they make a Tekken game for mobile, it will probably be as deep as the console versions.

But, then again, there's injustice:

All you have to do in this game is tap-tap-tap-swipe (raised to the nth power). Yes, it's that simple and repetitive. Man, I hope that they won't do this if ever they release Tekken for mobile devices.

Yea that was the same thing I was thinking.

Platformer and shooter games are easier, but I imagine a fighting game with combos and stuff would be far more difficult.

Nah, it's really not that difficult. It's not as intuitive as playing at the arcades or on a home console with your controller at hand but it's not overly difficult. Controls will take some getting used to but it's not unbearable.

Take for instance Soul Calibur and Street Fighter IV HD. Both of these games didn't overly simplify their controls. They still maintained most of the controls on the console versions. But still, I manage to dish out some combos on my opponents. :)
