One of the most compelling exclusive titles of the Xbox is Dead or Alive. It's a very beautiful versus game that wowed the gaming world by first featuring destructible environments and realistic female body parts. I don't really like the game mechanics though as it's more in line with Virtua Fighter.

Tekken on the other hand is a versus game that's easy to learn and hard to master. It easily can attract casual gamers and expert gamers alike. The graphics of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 are great too. Tekken wins on my book. What about you?

Tekken can be hard to master in my opinion but i do think that the game is really good and the graphics is amazing on the game. It is hard to beat masters of the game on this though and the gap in skill is shown on this game. However, this game overall is better than dead or alive.

I've only gotten to play DOA once or twice, but it didn't capture me as well as when I played Tekken for the first time. Granted, the only time I got really into Tekken was when I first started learning the moves properly, so that may be the case for DOA as well since I haven't had a better introduction to the game, but for the mechanics alone, I'm very much satisfied enough with Tekken.

Maybe the main problem of DOA is its controls. Not a lot of people dig the controls of DOA. Tekken's is more fluid. It's much easier to grasp the two punch and two kick buttons than the punch-kick-throw-block controls.

Throwing combos in Tekken feels much better and is much more rewarding than in DOA.

Oh, what about when it comes to babes? Who do you think wins? ;)

I've never played Dead or Alive although it looks pretty fun. The 2nd game I got for my Xbox was Tekken 6, and it was fun for a while but it gets repetitive pretty fast. I always loved the Tekken games in arcades and stuff the most.

I prefer tekken over DOA any day. I never really liked DOA I just found the game to be a little to easy and it really gets boring really quickly and then I stop playing after a few minutes. Tekken on the other hand I can play that game for hours and hours and never get boring. I like to play with Eddie Gordo man I just love how fluid his moves are when you are playing with him. If I had to choose out of the two I think that I would definitely go with Tekken.

The DOA series, to me, is more of a "casual" fighting game (I know it's played in tournaments, but still). It's not at all deep, the characters aren't really compelling and the story seems like an afterthought. In my opinion, there's really one reason to play the game (OK, make that two reasons...). I'm not a Tekken fan boy by any means, but I just think the character designs are much more interesting than that of the ones in DOA, and that's a very important aspect of a fighter. I give Tekken the edge.

Although they were ported to other systems as well, I like to think of the SNK/Neo-Geo fighters on the original Xbox as exclusives.
