Ten Years Of Xbox, Live Sale

t's a little hard to believe that it's been ten years since the original Xbox launched. Seems just like yesterday I was picking up my not-so-little Black Box. Microsoft this week is offering gamers a free avatar item to help celebrate 10 years of Xbox. The item, a prop for your avatar, comes complete with fireworks and confetti to help you celebrate the anniversary.

You can pick up the Anniversary Avatar Item for free on Xbox Live until Saturday, November 19.

That's not all Xbox is giving you for it's own birthday. Check "Spotlight" on the dashboard for the "Xbox Anniversary experience" on Nov 15. Unlike the Jim Hendrix Experience, the Xbox Anniversary experience will give you sales and more.

Can't believe it myself that they are now 10 years old. Saw the avatar prop advertised myself but haven't yet downloaded it, however will be doing as I can't miss a freebie from Microsoft

Great milestone for them because they have reached their 10 years! I hope they go on like this and release new version of Xbox soon

Looks like a new Xbox is on the cards very soon. Going by Xbox 720 and also codename Loop at the moment. Have heard rumours that it could be released in 2012 and also 2013 but I have a funny feeling we will know more at the E3 next year

Just imagine how the graphics might be like 0.o!

They should release it in 2012 because I feel Xbox 360 has completed its lifespan long enough
