Reef Entertainment, a British game publisher, recently announced Terminator 2D: No Fate for a September 5 launch across Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The latest Terminator game is a 2D title—as the name suggests—which features a pixel-based art style similar to '90s arcade games. Players can take control of Sarah Connor, John Connor, and T-800 as they go up against T-1000 as well as a range of other enemies from the Terminator lore. Talking about the project, Bitmap Bureau Design Director Mike Tucker labeled No Fate as "a love letter to ‘80s/‘90s arcade games" and said that the driving force behind the project was to "create the T2 side-scroller we should have had in our youth" in a PS Blog post.
