It'd be cool to have a backstory but this sounds like it's all over the place. Maybe the movie would be better than the trailer!

I did not go over the history of Tetris to where I could remember it. However, it was a game made in Russia. What was so hard with making a copy back then after just playing it? Yeah, I can imagine there were legal reasons. But the problem is, games nowadays evolve so much this is just a good starting point for people into designing games.
