December 16th, 1997, it was a pretty big day for both Pokemon and Japan, it was the day the famous episode Electric Soldier Porygon aired, which sent 685 kids (375 girls, 310 boys) or more kids to the hospital or into health issue state. Thanks to the episode airing a certain flashing strobe light of blue and red, causing seizures and other issues, Pokemon went on a four month hiatus and kid animation in Japan was in hot water with the pokemon Porygon, to never be seen again in any pokemon anime episode ever again.
