New survival Horror game from the makers of Dead Space coming to Consoles and PC, 2022:

"Set on Jupiter’s moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol is a next-generation take on survival horror. The game challenges players to escape the maximum security Black Iron Prison and uncover its terrifying secrets. A blend of horror, action, and immersive storytelling, the game aims to set a new bar for horror in interactive entertainment."

Read from gameinformer:

With Striking Distance Studios' first game, the team capitalizes upon the expertise and experience of Schofield's team. The comparisons to Dead Space are unavoidable, but make no mistake: The Callisto Protocol is a different beast altogether. We witnessed exclusive, never-before-seen gameplay footage featuring our protagonist, Jacob Lee, trying to survive the terrors of Jupiter's second-larget moon and its suspicious prison. But that's not all; we also spent hours picking the brains of the sci-fi horror masters at Striking Distance Studios. In the story, you'll learn the origin tale of Striking Distance, the process by which it masterfully creates (and pays off) tension, and how the gameplay of The Callisto Protocol works.

Striking Distance Studios revealed to Game Informer that it has cast Transformers star Josh Duhamel in the lead role for The Callisto Protocol as Jacob Lee. The character is a cargo ship pilot who must battle his way through a space prison on Jupiter's moon, Callisto. Duhamel previously worked with Schofield on Call of Duty: WWII where he played William Pierson, one of the games' supporting characters. It seems Schofield took a liking to him given he promoted Duhamel to be the playable protagonist in The Callisto Protocol. Given Jacob Lee is just an average pilot, he's not meant to be a hardened killer, so he will be forced to learn as he goes and use any tool he can to help him fight against the disgusting creatures surrounding him.

Duhamel took to his Instagram story to share the news, stating he's been working on the game for three years and is happy he can finally talk about it. He ended the post by stating the game is "insane". As of right now, we're still waiting to see gameplay for The Callisto Protocol, but it's likely that it will debut at Summer Game Fest on June 9th. The game is still on track to release later this year, but no release date has been announced. Striking Distance has also reassured players that the game will release on last-gen, something that will likely come as a relief for those who haven't been able to snag one of the very limited current-gen consoles.

Wouldn't it be nice if Samus was in the Switch release as a cameo? Nah they would never do that, let alone a Switch release.

Well the game is made in Unreal Engine 5, so it should be mod-able. I wouldn't be surprised if modders are going to make a playable Samus Aran model for it lol

Read a deleted tweet by the dev from tweaktown:

In a now-deleted Tweet, Glen Schofield recently confirmed that his dev team is crunching hard to get The Callisto Protocol ready for its December 2022 launch.

"I only talk about the game during an event. We are working 6-7 days a week, nobody's forcing us. Exhausted, tired, COVID, but we're working. Bugs, glitches, perf fixes, one last pass through audio. 12-15 hour days. This is gaming: Hard work, lunch, dinner, work. You do it because you love it."

Schofield's comments have kicked a hornet's nest in the industry as many developers, workers, and gamers alike are lamenting the developer and crunch in general.
