In a few hours here I should be picking it up. The idea intrigues me to no end; reminds me of how randomly Mega Man Battle Network came about in regards to the Mega Man series. Oh, and the character art is fantastic.

I don't even like Quagsire that much, but by god is that cute. I've tried avoiding any and all spoilers/details about it, and seems it'll be worth it soon. How do you all feel about it? Will I be the only one getting it?

Oh, and apologies to the kind Europeans; IIRC this doesn't even have a release date for there. I have no clue why; I hope I'm misinformed.

I saw this game in a toy catalogue for Australia, and I had no idea it was coming out so soon. But yeah, I guess it's out here, which is fair enough to say Europe is getting it soon?

And by that, I don't mean Australia and Europe are the same! Just... you know... they're similar-ish...

I voted no because I'm really not interested. I mean I saw this and was like, "This is in no way Pokemon. I don't see how they could do this." However I might get the game to see what it's like, but it just doesn't look that good to be honest. I mean it may be my dislike for JRPGs and that's what it looks like, but it has Pokemon. So I don't know if the Pokemon will make it better or if I'll still hate it.

You guys know it is not supposed to be pokemon at all right? It's actually a game called Nobunaga's Ambition and it just features pokemon. It is actually a turn based strategy so unless you like those types of games (such as final fantasy tactics) you probably wont enjoy this game much. I wouldn't ride on the fact that there is pokemon in it to make your decision as this game plays nothing like a pokemon game.

I for one love turn based strategy games and will probably pick this one up soon!

Well then they should make it more obvious that it isn't Pokemon in anyway.

The only turn based strategy game I've ever played was the Fire Emblem game for the Game Boy Advance that had Lyn as the main character. They're fun, but they get kind of boring so I doubt that I'll pick this up now.

Sigh.

It IS Pokemon. It is a Pokemon STRATEGY game. Yes, it was originally called Nobunaga's Ambition, but that's just because of a character in the game. Within Pokemon, they discuss how old wars were fought using Pokemon, so this is a prequel to the other games.

It IS a spin off, but it is considered the best Pokemon spin off since Pokemon Snap, if not the best. You may or may not like strategy games, and that's fine, but this IS a Pokemon game, so don't try to argue that it isn't.

Calm down, Spoony. When I said it isn't Pokemon in anyway, I meant that doesn't work like Pokemon usually does and it's entirely different.

Plus if it is a prequel then I would expect a young Lt. Surge since he said there was a war and according to a bunch of other theories it was a big war in which a lot of people died.

This is an even older war that that. And it still works like Pokemon, when you boil it down. Level up your Pokemon and fight, keeping in mind type advantages. There might even be eight warlords you have to defeat. Also, it has the option of letting you battle your friends with your Pokemon army. Pokemon has always had strategy at it's heart, so this is simply changing some of the mechanics and making a new spin on the franchise.

In the words of pretty much every new generation's slogan "...and you've still gotta catch 'em all!"

I like this concept for a game, kinda mixes two of my favorite things together (Pokemon and turn-based RPGs) . I may pick it up by the end of this week depending on how I feel cause I know I will not be playing this once I get FF theatrhythm

i voted yes in all other pokémon games its turn based your pokémon use a move then your opponents pokémon uses its move fo basically its the same i will be getting it

I said yes because one I like pokemon and two I want to try out this crossover and see if IGN was right about give it a 9/10 and besides it seems this is the first pokemon spinoff done "right" according to IGN.

I'm on the fence, If anyone posts more info about the game (lazy me doesn't want to surf the web) it would be great! Hmm, Pokemon turn-based rpg?
