Read from CBR:
The Crow producer Ed Pressman revealed that while the earlier reboot of The Crow starring Jason Momoa with Corin Hardy directing had been canceled, a new director and cast are expected to be announced soon. While discussing the film, Pressman described The Crow as "kind of anti-superhero, unique to the world of graphic novels."
However, Momoa and Hardy inevitably departed the project in 2018 due to financial and creative differences with production company Davis Films, which owned the film rights to the original comic books. "I've waited 8 years to play this dream role," Momoa said in a statement when he left the film. "I love you @corinhardy and @sonypictures unfortunately I may have to wait 8 more. Not our team. But I swear I will. James O'Barr sorry to let you down I won't on the next. This film needs to be set free. And to the fans. Sorry. I can't play anything but what this film deserves and it needs love. I'm ready when it's right."
