Epic Games, the developer of online games, has announced that it will donate all proceeds from March 20 to April 3 from its popular online game Fortnite for humanitarian efforts in Ukraine, the BBC reports.
The gaming giant said that Microsoft , the owner of Xbox, will do the same, and the proceeds will go to the charity Direct Relief, as well as to three UN agencies, including the World Food Program.
The scheme includes all Fortnite purchases, including V-Buck packages and Battle Passes.
Ukraine has long been one of the largest gaming development centers in Europe, and many companies in the industry have announced their support for the country.
Activision Blizzard - best known for its development of Call of Duty, Overwatch and World of Warcraft - has stopped selling in Russia. Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco, meanwhile, has announced that it is donating nearly $ 848,000 (£ 643,000) to Save the Children in support of Ukraine.
