The history and the games of Batman the movie

I own Batman and Robin for the Genesis and while I was bad at it it's still pretty fun. There are some awesome bits on Youtube about the coding secrets of that game like inverting certain parts and the really good backgrounds.
 
I played lots of the Batman games via my mobile Android device in the past, watched the movie as a kid too back then. The quality wasn't up to standard when you compare it with high resolution AAA games.
 
I have read Batman comics, I have watched Batmn cartoons, I have watched Batman movies, but I have never played any Batman games. What game do you suggest for a beginner like me?

The game was just brutally hard but it was so beautiful to look at.
