There's been a lot of anticipation for The Last Airbender: The Legend of Korra, the upcoming sequel series to Avatar: The Last Airbender. But in the midst of this, what we didn't know was when the show would actually be seen, except sometime in 2012.
At their Upfront presentation today, Nickelodeon finally revealed the premiere date, and it's actually quite soon, Saturday, April 14th at 11am.
The series centers around a new Avatar named Korra, a 17-year-old headstrong and rebellious girl who continually challenges and bucks tradition on her quest to become a fully realized Avatar in a world where benders are under attack. Check out a trailer below.
Update: With the title having slightly altered a couple of times now, it looks like the series is now going simply by The Legend of Korra, with the "Airbender" portion taken out completely.
