Nintendo President Satoru Iwata announced that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is coming to 3DS in Spring 2015.
 
Unveiled via Nintendo Direct, Iwata shared a few words about the creepy atmosphere of the original game. "This dark departure from the Zelda formula must have left some intense and scary memories in player's minds," he said. "As we worked on the remade version, we set out to maintain the original level of challenge while keeping the game accessible for anyone."
 
Nintendo did not elaborate on specific new features for this remake during the presentation. Instead, a brief trailer showed the enhanced visuals and a few key characters and moments from the doomed world of Termina.
 
Majora's Mask was originally released in 2000 on Nintendo 64. It was the first Zelda game directed by Zelda Series Producer Eiji Aonuma. Questions regarding the possibility of a remake began after Nintendo released Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for Nintendo 3DS in 2011.

Really a good game, highly recommend.
 
I really, really need to get back into playing the Zelda games. This looks awesome! And I like how they stuck to the older style of graphics.
 
I am very excited about this news. I plan on owning that game as soon as it becomes available. :)

Majora's Mask was part of my childhood as much as Majora's Mask, so I really am happy with the prospect of it receiving an update and being released on a portable console. I can hardly wait to submerge myself again in Termina. :3
