The Mighty Nein is a 2025 show created by Critical Role (who also created the DND campaign this is based on). It's a sister show to another Critical Role show called The Legend Of Vox Machina.
This was actually pretty fun. I couldn't call it excellent, but it does have the same charm that The Legend Of Vox Machina has.
The story is pretty alright, I just never really clicked with the world or villains and honestly just kind of ignored those aspects of the show. I think the problem most is, is that this was pretty generic in terms of fantasy, which does make sense considering where this series comes from.
But those characters are pretty charming. The show works when it's just about these wackos and their interesting lives. They're just such a wide variety of interesting and humorous personalities, I really have to credit the voice actors for their performances.
More or less, I liked this just as much as I liked The Legend Of Vox Machina, which is to say, it's good.
