Or as the Snopes page rightfully ripping it to pieces comments:
Marcus Davenport, 17, was found dead in his bedroom when police were called to the home after his mother discovered his body. According to reports, the Xbox One forcefully ejected a disc, slicing the teens throat.

According to authorities, Davenport was killed when his Xbox One malfunctioned, causing the system to eject a disc at a high rate of speed, striking the teen in the throat. His mother had discovered his body around 3:00 a.m. when she went to check on him.

Yeah right. Trying to blame video games for causing violence is stupid enough. Trying to say an Xbox One ripped someone's throat out by throwing a disk like a shuriken? That's just plain stupid. Who'd be stupid enough to fall for it?

*Looks at the media*

Sigh. But what do you think?

First off, LOL @ your 'looks at media' with the following sigh. My sentiments exactly.

I've been hit by a lot of objects - including CDs - at outrageous speeds. Especially whilst working on PCs and gaming consoles repairing them, so yes, they can fling fast. But this isn't the old Aerosmith video game Revolution X. This is real life, ffs! A CD isn't going to be shot at such an accelerated speed as to slice someone's throat open. First off, in order for that to happen the disc would have to 'wind up' in preparation for the toss. In that I mean it would have to start spinning in place faster and faster before release so the momentum was obtained in advance. I'm no scientist but I'm fairly certain the motor would get too hot and short out before it reached the required speed of rotation prior to release of the disc.

Someone's been playing too much Tron Deadly Discs on their Intellivision console or , as I said, Revolution X.

Hey! News media people! What else outrageously zany story can we pull out of our collective asses whilst grasping at straws as if our life forces were dwindling all on the hopes of creating a story to draw people in and stir up ridiculous hatred against gaming? hmm, how about... let's see... umm... how about this; Minecraft makes players want to become suicide bombers because of their fondness for creepers?

Honestly, if there's anything worse than the 'real' news media, it's the clickbait making up morons trying to lie to people for money. The Onion was funny, these guys are lame rip offs.
