The Sims. What do you wish they would add or get rid ofv

I have been a sims fan since the first one came out. I wish they'd make expansion pack based on popular movies or shows or other games.

Like an expansion pack for Greys Anatomy. Perfect for your Sim who's aspiring in the medical career. Comes with stealing dresses and heels when you need a night out with McDreamy!

I really just wish the base game for Sims 4 had a lot... more. More of anything really. It was a barebones game, and you can tell that EA being the moneywhores they are will milk it as much as they can. Wouldn't be surprised if they released like 50+ instances of DLC, all for money. I think I'd be cool with anything they add, but at this point no way I'm paying for all the DLC.

I'm also a really big fan of them! A lot of my early teen years were marked by that game, I was kind of obsessed, lol.
That's actually a great idea, imagine that! I pictured them doing a Lost version, all the sims on an abandoned island would be actually a pretty good idea (or at least it is for me). Or an Orange Is the New Black one, oh my god, that would be amazing.

Actually, if you purchase the Sims 4: Get to Work expansion pack, you're able to actively control your sim while they're at work and one of the professions is being a doctor. You're even able to help sims give birth there, which is really cool. You can also have them be a detective or scientist with that expansion. I haven't gotten it yet but I've been wanting to.

I wish they'd never wasted time with The Sims 4, because it's terrible. It took away everything The Sims 3 achieved: a open world game. There's nothing like being able to walk around your neighborhood. You can't even edit the town in Sims 4. It looks more like a software than a game. I know they made it this way so it could run on low-end PCs but it wasn't worth it. TS4 was a shitty game, in my opinion. They could have done so much more. The Sims 3 was perfect. It was everything The Sims had to be, so I wish TS4 was nothing more than a better, prettier The Sims 3.

The problem is (and I agree that Sims 3 was superior in gameplay to Sims 4) that when you create such an impressive game, adding better graphics and a few minor 'tweaks' to the gameplay isn't enough to justify purchasing the game. Sims 4 moved in a different direction and we'll see where it goes from here but the gaming 'skeleton' is better for the Sims 4 game so there is the possibility that a variety of expansion packs (i.e. more $$ to be sure) will produce a far superior game.

First of all, how long has it been since they have added an update addition like that? Cause it really sounds like sims is a dead concept from what your saying. But you make some valid points and if the servers are still up if this is an online game then they should at least put some new add ons. Makes sense why people don't really mess with this title like they used to which seems like its glory days were when it was at its most simple.

They have done things recently, actually. They had a community wide easter event and they also tweaked the jealousy trait to be realistic. So they definitely haven't abandoned the game or anything, they're still adding things to it to improve and and improve everyone's experience.

I'm not sure if this is what you meant since I haven't played The Sims 3 and can't really compare the two games, but you can download free content from other users and add those buildings to your game so you actually can edit the town. I've found daycares, bars, even whole shopping centers. The extension packs also make the came even more easy to custom. One of them, I can't even which, even lets your sim start their own business.

Well as my3sons said, the base game for Sims 4 is much more stable and better optimized than Sims 3 was, but sadly the expansions have been kind of mediocre as of now. I think there is enough variety in creating a sim physically, new traits would be the right way to go in the "create a sim" aspect of the game. As for the actual game, i've realized as I play the game, that you spend most of your time working (like in real life, sadly haha) so it's only natural to expand even more on the carreers you can play, I know the get to work addon exists for this very reason, but it is not nearly enough.

Also, that one Youtuber sim on steam made me wish for a Streamer carreer in the Sims, seems fun.

Yes, yes, you can edit the lots in the town, but you can't freely mess around with it, to add trees, bridges or lakes for example. It's not really open world, like you're looking at a real neighborhood from above, it's more of a click screen. You can only select a place to edit, not actually interact with it. If I'm making any sense.
