I know there are other sim fans in here! Let's hold some Sim discussion here! Has anyone played The Sims 4? I have a bit but I'm not too crazy about it myself. It's fun for what it is. There is an expansion pack out now but I've heard that it's just too much work. lol There is supposed to be a new one that will allow users to create more building and such so I might pick that one up. We shall see. Out of all of The Sims I think I played The Sims 2 the most. It all just started getting too complicated after the release of The Sims 3 in my opinion. lol
I have a friend that really loves the Sims. I've only really played MySims and it wasn't all that great. I've been meaning to try an actual Sims game, but it seems really slow paced. Though with all the customized stuff, it should be right up my alley.
I've played Sims 3 on an, ahem... pirated version. While I enjoy it, I don't enjoy it enough to buy all the overpriced addon things for it that really give the game so much variety... Too much of a money farm for me. I wanted to buy it after they'd pretty much stopped making new content for it, but it was still crazy expensive to get the game and all the extra stuff for it.
Bought Sims 3 for PS3 at launch and it had over 800 glitches and bugs which they only patched like 300 of. that's not an exaggeration, by the way. If you went to the forums they had a list of them and each one was numbered and it was at the high end of the 700's at month one of release. Most of them would crash the game and corrupt saves, so I never got very far. After that, I bought the Sims Medieval limited edition and a certain someone instantly scratched the disc to crap on me by leaving it in a horrible place and then placing numerous objects on top of the disc. Again, didn't get very far there either. The last one I truly enjoyed was Sims 2: Castaways for PSP and Bustin Out for GBA before that (as it played completely different from the original Xbox release we also owned). I have played all the Sims games up to Nightlife's expansion before that.
