It's been released today, so who's bought one and what do they think of it?

I played it at Best Buy today, but It only had that gay ass Rayman game =___=.

As for buying,I'm getting my Wii U whenever the next "Couple hundred more" arrive at my GS. The manager told me that I'm #80 and I'll be among the first people on the waiting list to get one(out of a couple hundred I guess). Judging by his tone and body language, seems like the shipment will arrive in a few days, maybe 1-4 days. My GS is hardcore when it comes to releases, especially consoles, so it won't seem weird to assume.

Pre-ordered the Deluxe, I got it at 11am (my time) along with NSMBU and a pro controller.

Now, me being the guy that hates on everything undoubtedly has complaints, but there are good things here as well.

Good:
-Internet Browser is fast, and works really well. You can type on it like a keyboard.
-No friend codes
-Since it came out today, we all had first dibs at names; I'm Crobat, my friends are Salamence and Slowking and my brother is Machamp
-The graphics are incredible
-Songs are good and ambient
-Can sync your Wii data over (I won't because my Wii is hacked)
-Can video chat with your friends and the camera is of great quality and very responsive
-Controller is comfy
-Playing NSMBU on just the gamepad is fun and a really unique experience
-Nintendoland's games could be fun high, if you're into that (very colorful, very fun for casual play... I stress casual)

Bad:
-The OS is slow as hell, 20 seconds for any application to open even Settings
-Nintendoland is casual up-the-ass (it's really boring unless you have the mind of a two year old)
-NSMBU is quintessentially the same game (shocker, right?)
-There's a HUGE patch right when you turn it on
-Lol, that guy on NeoGAF hacked it, stupid Nintendo
-No launch games worth your time (Scribblenauts is probably the best bet, I have the other two, but didn't have the dough for this one... yet)

This isn't total shit, but I'm not necessarily satisfied. This definitely beats the 3DS though, I hate the 3DS, it's so useless... but that's another story.

I might be buying it for myself for Christmas, but only time will tell. Feel like getting the ZombieU game because I like scary, but other than that, it'd probably be a Mario fest for me with NSMBU. But that's about $500 worth of stuff for me to buy so I'm a little hesitant to burn all my munnies.

AAWWWWW YEAAAAAH!!! Picked up my pre-order on launch day. Got the Deluxe edtion (superior black console) with NSMB U (best 2D Mario platformer of the decade) and Assassin's Creed 3 (most innovative new IP this gen).

Gamepad is awesome, although it has a warm tint just like the DS Lite's bottom screen. Screen settings on the Wii U are kinda janky. The picture actually goes beyond my TV's borders. Individual apps have a fix for this, but there's not a general one for the system so all of my games are displaying with about 10% of the picture being offscreen. Luckily this hasn't hurt any games yet, in fact, NSMBU actually displays just fine (almost perfectly!). Hopefully a patch fixes it though. Some TVs can fix it just through their general settings, but mine does not have the option :(

Oh God, really? That definitely sounds a little iffy to me. Hopefully something can be done about it. Usually there is a setting on the television, and I was going to suggest that until you said yours didn't. So yeah, bummer to hear that, but happy to hear you're liking it!

Also, best 2D Mario Platformer of the decade, eh? Interesting... *rubs hands together, licks lips*

Yeah, it really is great. This time around Nintendo focused more on the single player aspect. It becomes very obvious once you get 4 people on the screen and try to go through some of the more intense platforming sections. Still boatloads of fun, and those are probably the best parts of the game.

High, I came into this discussion pretty late, but yup, I have had my Wii U for a while now, and I'm loving it. I didn't get it at launch because they were sold out, but I got it shortly after.

Got my Deluxe Wii U a week ago. I bought it at Walmart. (Where I live no one plays Video Games they hunt) I enjoy playing the games.

I've had no problems with the screen pictures at all. Then too, the ability to fix this is something that should be in the system settings, so if it is not there, then that is a problem. As for NSMBU, I agree that it is possibly the best 2D Mario game in a long time (I wouldn't say decade without a complete list for reference). It felt like a very polished NSMBW that is certainly worth the upgrade. I also really enjoy being able to issue challenges to Miiverse friends on Challenge mode and having the added Boost playing option on mulitplayer. I think those will add more replay value to this game compared to other Mario games that have little incentive to continue playing past the week it takes you to unlock everything.
