Somebody stole the gilded movie prop that gave the 1974 007 feature, The Man With the Golden Gun, its name. In the movie, Christopher Lee played Scaramanga, the world's greatest assassin, who assembled his trademark weapon from a pen, cigarette case and a lighter.
The staff at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire, England (which hosted the filming of multiple Bond films), discovered the prop missing yesterday. Police were informed, but there are no suspects and no truth to rumors that hairs of a white cat were found in the vicinity.
