Me and stosh have been talking and we are thinking about moving to our own host and upgrading our jcink IPB to the latest IPB software. If you like this idea vote in the poll. If you got any problems about it speak up!
Thoughts on converting?

If you guys feel it's best, then I'm on board. So long as we don't lose any forum content, I'm game.
But ... keep in mind, sometimes change isn't the best thing for a forum. Seen many big ones die when moving software, cause members are quite happy where they are.

we are on IPB version 1.3 at this time. If we convert we be going to IPB version 3. We will still retrain the majority of the forum while able to upgrade many aspects of the forum such as security and add more game like stuff to this forum.
The best part of it is we be hosting the forum ourselves so we wouldn't have to rely on a hoster like jcink. Keep in mind though, I will thoroughly look into this and won't do it until I know it can be done 100% safely and fast enough.

I'm happy with jcink forums, but if it means increase security, speed, and reliability. I'm all for it.
