well I'm 19 now and I have never own a cell phone (a crime isn't it? [/sarcasm])

I am basically looking for a decent, simple cell phone that is under 100$ and I am also looking for advice to which provider to go with.

my current interest is to get a flip cell phone with a prepaid minutes and possible unlimited texting as I be doing more texting then talking.

any advice given be appreciated.

I think Kis got one of those XD

If you want a phone that's indestructible, get a Sony Erickson. I had one before I got an Iphone and jesus christ, I could chunk the thing at the ground and it wouldn't even get a scratch.

Otherwise make sure the flip phone you want is strong, cause those things break easily. I personally hate flip phones.

I used a cheap Samsung flip phone it was only 60 dollars. The buttons were not the best, but it was usable. I just needed a phone to carry around in emergency situation when I went to school or work. I think there aren't a lot of unlimited text plans for prepaid phones.

Virgin Mobile is a good provider in Canada, but I'm not sure about the US since I live in Canada.

The Samsung-Mantra for 59.99 dollars might be best for your needs.

Cnet got a pretty good review on it : http://reviews.cnet.com/cell-phones/samsun...7-33686175.html

The user reviews are pretty positive except for one person who expected too much for a 60 dollar phone.

Samsung makes good products.

The cheaper LG , and Kyocera phones don't look very nice to use.
