The suspense horror/dark fantasy story is set in Tokyo, which is haunted by mysterious "ghouls" who are devouring humans. People are gripped by the fear of these ghouls whose identities are masked in mystery. An ordinary college student named Kaneki encounters Rize, a girl who is an avid reader like him, at the café he frequents. Little does he realize that his fate will change overnight.

I'll have to admit that I nearly wrote this off as another anime where a "normal" main character gets some kind of new power and suddenly becomes cool and/or strong. Turns out I was wrong.

Tokyo Ghoul is about a college student that turns into half-human, half-ghoul hybrid due to certain circumstances. Everything isn't all fun and nice however, and the experience isn't all that enjoyable as he can no longer eat normal food. Only human flesh can now satiate his hunger.

Yesssss. This anime is really awesome. I kinda hope it lasts for a while. It has the potential to be as good as Attack on Titan.

The OST isn't anything extraordinary to be honest. But it is pretty good.
