Just one week into its life on store shelves, Transformers is the biggest DVD of the year, selling over 8 million copies. Not only is it the hottest DVD of the year, but it's also the top selling high-definition DVD of the year, selling almost 200,000 high-def copies in the first week alone.
What does it all mean? Just that Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg are making a whole lot of money just in time for the holiday season, which is good, because we were thinking they might not be able to get to everyone on their gift lists. Whew.
