An announcement trailer for Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power has appeared on the game's website.

Trine 3 will release in 2015, initially for PC.

The trailer shows that the game will be using three dimensional space for the first time, although the standard 2D action is still part of the game.

Trine was the first game I played on my PC. I'm excited to see the next one, I never thought I'd be fascinated to hear a game was going to be in 3D! Staying true to the 2-dimensional gameplay is good though, hopefully you get to change format to do puzzles or something.

It looks way different than the first two but I'm digging this new direction.

Trine was the first game that brought me back to the puzzling platforming genre. I don`t generally like platforming games, but Trine was just so gorgeous graphics-wise along with really cool gameplay mechanics, that I couldn`t ignore it. Can`t wait for part 3. I finished both 1 and 2, although I have yet to play their DLCs.
