Don’t get caught texting while driving in Britain, because it could land you in the big house. Currently, the penalty for driving and using a cell phone is three points tacked on to the license and a fine of at least £60 (about $122).
However, law makers have drafted legislation which requires a person found guilty of "dangerous driving" (driving in a potentially lethal fashion while using distracting devices) to serve two years in jail.
Cheer because it’s right and cringe, because you know you’re guilty of doing it at least once.

Unless you don't have a driver's liscence.
And is that 122 american? if it's australian, thats a bit harsh.
I hate seeing some people drive while answering even calls with their Bluetooth ear buds. It can mess up with your concentration should you get a bad news. It's why I always park and take my calls before moving out again. I can't even imagine how to text and drive.
