is this for that update that sends your PC to hell? kind of fail for those who only have 1 PC.

Indeed, it was the update that sends your pc to hell which causes it to keep restarting in a continuing boot. It is a fail for people with only 1 PC. I wonder if AVG be willing to send a rescue CD by UPS, FedEx, or mail to people with only one PC.

would AVG even have a record of who to send the disks to?

I'm not sure, but I think you have to give them your mailing address by phone for them to send the disk to. But, I think the AVG technical support phone number might be a problem of finding since you need to go online to AVG.com to look for the phone number since AVG telephone number is not well known or un-likely to be in your local yellow pages phone book.

I suppose in the worst case you could use a friend's computer or a library computer for help.
