So today the PS4 was announced alongside the ability to stream 4k content which might be good for other countries but for the USA we can't even begin to use that feature. Should anyone attempt to use it I will promise you that you will kill your entire monthly bandwidth within a few hours since 4k content would come in high GB or maybe even TB data size.

This is mostly due to USA's internet sucking and I don't see ISP increasing the limit to handle 4k stress load.

If you have Google Fiber, or subscribe to Gigabit internet from Comcast, you maybe able to stream in 4K.

I think some internet service provider gives you unlimited bandwidth if you pay an extra $20-30 a month on top of your regular monthly bill.

But, most people without Google Fiber, Comcast Gigabit, and a similar internet plan with fast speed will not be able to use 4K streaming.

I think there is also not enough content recorded in 4K to make subscribing to 4K streaming services, 4K console, or buying a 4K TV worth it.

Google fiber is still limited, not sure about Comcast but I never hear anything positive. Pretty sure most have removed the unlimited bandwidth option but most do offer more at a steep price.

As far as content goes, there will apparently be 6000 hours worth by end of the year.

Internet isn't too great here in the UK either in terms of speed, but most of our packages are unlimited usage so thats better than in the USA. Seems like the PS4 Pro will be useless for 4K movies in general; streaming won't be very possible and the console wont support Ultra BluRay disks.

I'm sure the PS4 Pro Slim will feature the Ultra Blu-Ray disks :P

I bet, most of the 6000 hours of content is not worth watching because the content's story/plot, characters, and general enjoyment are not good.

A lot of digital video cameras, and more powerful smartphones can record video in 4K, so sites like YouTube would have a lot of 4K video which looks nice, but is not enjoyable to watch because the story is not good.
