USB 3.0?

Does your computer have the wonderful USB 3.0 ports implemented into it? I have one on my laptop, the data transfer speed is so much faster than the older USB 2.0 ports. I transferred a few GB of data in a few minutes compared to 2.0's a few GB in over an hour. It's a shame that devices not designed for USB 3.0 won't transfer as fast even if connected to a 3.0 port.

Yes, I have one USB 3.0 port, but I don't really transfer a lot of big files from a computer to a USB hard drive, so USB 2.0 is good enough for me.

I mainly use USB ports to connect my printer to my computer to print, and also use USB to connect a keyboard and mouse to a computer, and USB 2.0 works pretty well.

I have 2 USB 3.0 ports but they are currently not working since I haven't installed the drivers. But I have like 8 regular USB ports and don't own any devices that would take advantage of the speed anyway.

Same for me, I don't own any USB 3.0 devices since my older USB 2.0 Flash drives, and hard drives still work, and I don't really feel the need to upgrade when I rarely use Flash drives, and External hard drives because I mainly use one computer for everything, and I am no longer a student, and don't work in an office, so it is rare for me to be carrying drives with me when I am out.

My laptop has one though I forget which one that is.

Still sticking with old USB 2.0, haven't upgraded or felt any need in upgrading it. Old is gold as of now. :D

xD No offense, but how old is your laptop? Even when using my 2.0 port it takes me about 30 mins at most to transfer as much as 20GB.

I have one on my laptop, but as I don't have a compatible device for it, it's not getting used. Do have such devices for work though, it's much quicker for now....until they bring new out :D

I own a high performance USB 2.0 4GB flash drive with a 25-30 MB/s write and write speed, and it only takes a few minutes to fill up the 4GB. I think a lot of the time the slow performance is caused by the slow memory chips, or hard drive on cheaper USB 2.0 drives, or the motherboard on the computer has USB 1.1 connectors, or the USB 2.0 chip is not very good on cheaper motherboards, and USB 2.0 PCI expansion cards.
