We're not going to find out what happens next for Erica Evans and her new allies in Project Ares, as ABC has cancelled V.
TVLine.com reports the network is passing on a third season for the sci-fi show, as they cancel it, along with Brothers and Sisters (a show IGN readers are very passionate about, I'm sure).
V had rather low ratings, but was performing better than fellow ABC Tuesday night series No Ordinary Family and Detroit 1-8-7. I wasn't the only one to speculate that perhaps ABC might bring the show back to serve the same purpose it had this year – a short midseason run that basically filled the time in-between Dancing with the Stars seasons. Unfortunately though, that was not to be and the series won't be back.
Update: ABC has cancelled several more series, as they firm up their new series orders for next year, including Charlie's Angels, Once Upon a Time and Pan Am (Click Here to read more about ABC's new series). No Ordinary Family, Detroit 1-8-7, Off the Map, Mr. Sunshine and Better With You are all done
The news is better for Happy Endings and Body of Proof, which will both get second seasons.
