Update!
sourceThe SEGA-developed strategy RPG Valkyria Chronicles has officially been given a release date on PC of November 11.
The PC version of the game will include all DLC that was available for the PS3 version, including "Hard EX Mode" which has more difficult versions of skirmish mode; two side story missions, "Enter the EDY Detachment," and "Behind Her Blue Flame;" and a collection of six challenge missions.
This announcement comes after a tweet by the official SEGA account on Monday revealed the game would be coming to PC. The former PS3-exclusive was praised by IGN back in 2008 for superseding genre conventions and offering a deep, story-driven strategy role-playing experience. We also named it one of the best examples of anime game visuals.
The former PS3 exclusive is set in a world which takes its inspiration from 1930s, pre-war Europe. Players must attempt to save the small Principality of Gallia, which is caught between two warring superpowers, from destruction. The emergence of a mysterious force known as "Valkyria" - a legendary race with special powers - turns the tide of the war and gives the heroes hope for their country. The game incorporates third-person shooter mechanics with strategy and tactical gameplay.
Valkyria Chronicles is now available for pre-order and will cost $20 USD.
