The Valorant beta is barely a month old but it's already gotten a big new addition: ranked mode. Riot Games teased the addition in recent patch notes, but said at the time that the actual feature would be coming in the near-future for those who have gotten into the beta.
Ranked mode will let you play on a more competitive level, but since this is the beta, any progress you earn will get wiped when the full game launches this summer. That means the addition of ranked is simply to put it through its paces.
