I don't mean the food that you eat while gaming, although if you do know of some sustenance that can't kill you with overdose, is quick to whip up, and doesn't spill or get crumbs or grease stains all over the controller, I direct you to my Healthy Gaming topic.

But here, I want to talk about food that's shown or mentioned in video games, that are brought into real life!

Here's the Gourmet Gaming blog: http://www.gourmetgaming.co.uk/

Absolute Shadow Ramen from The World Ends With You! Belle Classic tea from Professor Layton, and Finkton's Baked Beans from Bioshock: Infinite--all in the first page!

Feast of Fiction is a YouTube cooking show that also brings some memorable video game foods to real life, not exclusively video games--but I'll post a few of the ones that are. (I thought the ice cream from Kingdom Hearts would be more of a salty juice pop than actual ice cream-and-eggs, though.)

Skyrim's sunlight souffle! (With a recipe straight out of an in-game cookbook!)

Elder Scrolls' sweet rolls!

Minecraft cake!

Sick of sweets? Have more Minecraft! Minecraft mushroom stew!

Bizarrely, I cannot seem to find any recreations of cooking game recipes...

that's pretty amazing, I wonder if they will do Gysahl Pickles from FF 9.

I expected this thread to be about Doritos and Moutain Dew. I'll see myself out..

You might also want to check out Nerdy Nummies, as they do a very similar thing. Also, if you're grown up enough, and are into alcohol, check out the Drunken Moogle, as they mix up cocktails based around different games. Quite tasty too!

I am with you here, I open some BBQ Pringles and some Rootbeer.

My favorite video game food is bean burritos + Tabasco + Coke = play all night lol. It's hard to take a break and cook dinner if your grinding, throw a couple bean burritos in the microwave and splash them with Tabasco and wash them down with coke and your set for hours LOL.

Pickling takes a while, and Gysahl pickles are supposed to stink up the place...but sure, why not? From the sprites, they look like carrots and sometimes like white turnips or radishes. Picked radish sounds good!

Thanks for the recommendation! I was running out of feast of fiction episodes. (Wow, Minecraft and Skyrim foods seem really popular to copy in real life.)

If we're talking Cheetos I'm back. Whats everyone's favorite type of Cheeto? For me it's puffs or GTFO.

The Minecraft cake looks pretty cool, not going to lie. Not so sure about the other stuff haha, people get creative with this stuff apparently.

Wow those look so good! I especially liked the Minecraft cake. It looked so much like the actual cake in Minecraft! I kind of want to try and make one myself now!

For those who aren't into baking, Nerdy Nummies (as Annabell above recommended) has a much simpler version of how to make a Minecraft "cake" which makes a granola bar out of rice krispies, marshmallows, a bit of butter and peanut butter, and then decorates it with re-melted white chocolate and cherry (not watermelon) Airheads.

All this is truly cool because considering you could pretend you are like a minecraft dude or something and eat your own blocks.. That would be kind of cool and all! :)
