Views on programs which ask you if you really want to exit even if you press the exit key or button?

I find it useful when Word Processors and image editors tell me I have unsaved work, and ask me if I want to save before I exit since this makes me less likely to not lose save work, but for MP3 players, video players, etc it can be somewhat annoying.

Also when I press the "close" button by mistake, ( could have lost a lot of unsaved work... )

it can be annoying for anything you want out of right away. but it can be a life savor for word docs or downloading a program.
