If there is such a violation, do you believe a severe punishment should be given?

Or should the police let them go, after giving them some explanation about, how severe this is?

I feel stricter punishment may help make fewer people violate the Coronavirus lockdown rules. There have been many TV, online news and Newspaper news stories on why it is not recommended to go outside at this time. There are many articles on the dangers of getting a person infected because they can infect their family members, and infect strangers if they have the Coronavirus or infect others with the virus by meeting many people they don't live with, and may get someone at a party infected.

I read online that people can get fine thousands of dollars for not social distancing in some countries.

Beating them to a pulp is really not good.
I have seen those wounds and that's just horrible.

It is unfortunate people still using beatings to punish people since it is painful, and cruel.

Beatings are also dangerous. Some people got seriously injured or died from beatings. In some coumtries like America, people sometimes carry guns and knives for self-defense, so beatings can be very dangerous if someone uses a gun or knife for self-defense during a beating.

I feel people are spreadong the Coronavirus by causing people to run away from beatings, and the stick or weapon to infect other if the stick has the Coronavirus on it when they use the stick to beat many people with the ssme stick.

You are right about that.
That's the reason why people are afraid to step out, even for a moment now.

Depends on what is going on, but at least fine them if not throw them into jail.

Hopefully, the Coronavirus lockdown does not cause a very big increase in crime like robbing banks, and stores.

A lot of people recently lost their jobs or will lose their job soon because of the Coronavirus lockdown, so desperate people with no money may more likely steal if they no longer have money to buy food, rent, utility bills, and medical supplies.

I feel like we need to crack down more. I work at a home improvement store and we sell toilet paper, cleaning products, and a few other essential items. Thing is, I haven't seen anyone buy anything essential. I have seen people buy lawn mowers, 30+ bags of mulch and dirt and rocks, we've been selling paint like it's going out of style. I don't know why people can't just stay home, watch some tv. Take a nap. DO ANYTHING BESIDES HANG OUT HERE! It actually stresses me out because there are people coming in to just browse and not buy anything. They just came in for no reason. Like, go home. We're in the middle of a crisis that is killing people. Stop putting me, my family, you, and your family at risk just because you're bored.

That did increase here
People are robbing even schools for equipment and this is not good at all.

Robbing schools is very sad since schools may not have as much money for buying new equipment, books, and computers after the Coronavirus lockdown which may last many months to years. A lot of kids may have problems learning at school after being force to take many online courses for many months to years. Some kids are not doing well at suddenly taking online courses. I feel not having equipment will make learning a lot harder after spending many months learning at home.

The government may spend most of their countries money treating Coronavirus victims, and helping feed and house people who lost their jobs, or now work many lower paying jobs because their workplace is closed until the Coronavirus lockdown is over.

Economy crisis because of Corona lockdown will be the end result now.

I don't think it will take mere months to cover it and the schools getting robbed are public schools.

Those schools will need more time, to get back the equipment....it's a disaster
