Okay, when I click on 'Start' And 'All programs' It say's it's empty. When I try to access folders such as things on the Desktop, it says 'Access denied.' Then it says 'Desktop- Access Denied' And all the Shortcuts disappear except for the Recycle bin and the IE icon. Trend Micro Keeps blocking something called 'explorer.exe', Location C:\Windows and Reason User exception.
Help please? Because I'll recieve the Infamous Three-shoe beating if Mum finds out about this.

Explorer.exe is taskbar, folder, and what explored the files, and if that is a problem, then it may be infected, my solution would be to wipe out the whole drive and reinstall everything, but only I would do such a thing and only with backing up.

Blame little bro or daddy..... *yawn*

explorer.exe is not Internet Explorer. It is Windows Explorer, which is your taskbar and all of your windows.

For one Trend Micro is not a very good Anti Virus and is not helping the cause.

Try this. Start your computer in safe mode with networking. Download SuperAntiSpyware and run it. Have it delete whatever it finds. Then download Spybot Search and Destroy and run it. Again, have it remove anything it finds.

Now boot back into normal mode and see if things are fixed. If they are, I recommend removing Trend Micro and installing Avast. Avast is updated daily, if not more, and will stop your computer from going to a dangerous webpage or downloading a dangerous file, so you will never have to worry about a virus getting through.

Thanks! Will do.

I always consider "explorer.exe" as being... everything. Really without explorer.exe you can't do anything.

To prove how important explorer.exe is, follow these steps, CAREFULLY!
Open the Task Manager (usually Ctrl+Alt+Delete, and selecting Task Manager from a menu if one comes up)
Go to "Processes"
Find "explorer.exe", and right click it
Select "End Process"
You will notice that EVERYTHING except any open windows, and your wallpaper will be unavailable (note, to switch between open windows, press Alt+Tab)

Try opening a new Firefox without explorer.exe working. There is only one way. In Task Manager, go to file, and "New Task (Run)", and type in "firefox.exe", but that's just time consuming.

Now to 'turn' explorer.exe 'on', go to the "New Task (Run)" thing, but type explorer.exe, and everything will appear like magic...

If explorer.exe has a virus or is infected, to me, that's as bad as if your anti-virus software had a virus, or if dskchk had an error.

Explorer.exe (or Windows Explorer) is the Start Menu, Taskbar, and the entire folders, including the Desktop (which includes any files on the desktop, and folders), thus closing explorer.exe will close ANY folders, and "remove" all icons and stuff from the Desktop. Note that it doesn't actually remove anything, it simply hides them.

I think I might know what the reason explorer.exe Isn't working, maybe because..I might've...Uh....Blocked it because Trend Micro Was notifiying me of Suspicious activity?

Keep running various anti-malware programs. Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware are good free programs that I've used in the past. Wiping your disk should be used as an utter LAST resort.

Also, if you have any system restore points, you may want to try one of them if they were set before the virus attack.

Thanks.
I've solved the problem, apparently I'd blocked it, causing this 'Virus' attack. I won't make that mistake again, but I'm keeping an Extreme eye on my computer now.
I'm also going to get a Terrabyte Backup Disk to backup all of my VIF's.

Heh, blocking Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) is like blocking Windows itself

oh wait, I've said that already.... well this topic serves no purpose, but to discuss the one thing that's surely on everyone's mind!
