During its E3 press conference today, Sony announced that you’ll soon be able to use your PlayStation Vita as an enhanced controller for your PlayStation 3.

An update to support Vita will first come to LittleBigPlanet 2 as DLC.

I guess this would be a good idea if you lose your normal controller. Sony is going with the same PSP feature that allowed you to control your PS3. It a good idea, but I don't own a Vita. Maybe I need to get one and test this out. It would be a little weird playing games with the Vita, because it's heavier than a normal control.

This sounds kind of stupid to me.

This is a great feature, but this isn't something that will make a person run out for a Vita. This is just a good extra feature to be added on to the overall package.

Luckily, I already have a Vita so I can take advantage of stuff like this.
