I am not very good with taking calls. I will always want to have some chats or text instead. I freak out when people call me on phones too. Which one do you like?

I much rather text than call.

I prefer voice calls because I also can watch TV or play a video game while listening to a phone call and answering questions on a phone call.

I think voice calls also use less battery life on most phones because the LCD screen use for texting on a cell phone can use a lot of battery power if the size of a screen is very big or back-light is very bright . Some online text messaging and social networking apps with messaging can also use a lot of battery power or slowdown a phone when opened.

I prefare voice messages than text messages because I get tired easily reading long text.

I think one of the disadvantages of texting is that some people send very long messages at once, and may also embed a lot of pictures, animated pictures, videos, and files in their text conversations which may slowdown slower cell phones.

Most of the time I get tired of typing messages so I rather send voice note than typing messages especially when is a long message.

I will prefer text message over calls unless it's a case of emergency which needed to be discussed deeply. I will talk with my mother only on calls.
