Watch Dogs is an open world action adventure game like GTA V.
The game's protagonist Aiden Pierce is a hacker who seeks revenge after the death of his niece.
The Game is set on open world and lets you have a free roam exactly like your favorite GTA Series. You can get into vehicles and roam around the city. You can also play vigilante missions. It's just so much fun and a really great game that could keep yourself occupied until your favorite GTA V comes out on PC.
The unique thing about this game is the protagonist's hacking abilities which allows you to play as him and control different factors on the city.

This game looked so promising before it came out, it looked so much better in the trailers (what a surprise!), I have played it only for two hours and on the PS3 though so I don't know what the game is like in the new generation of consoles and on PC, but I expected so much from this game and was kind of dissapointed. I absolutely dislike the handling of vehicles of this game and the radio is awful, it just doesn't feel right like in GTA. What I can say that I really like in this game is the Spider Tank minigame, it is a lot of fun to play with a mechanical spider that can jump very high and walk on walls causing mass destruction. :P

I was considering picking this game up, until the whole controversy around the E3 graphics effects being withheld on PC on purpose. I absolutely refuse to support Ubisoft with their obstructive DRM, downgraded graphics, and shady business practices. While I'm sure Watch Dogs may be a fun game and is quite enjoyable, I just can't fathom giving my money to Ubisoft. I'm just going to play Sleeping Dogs or Saints Row while I wait for GTA V.

I can't comment on Watch Dogs but I was very much pleasantly surprised with GTA5.

It basically elevated the entire franchise to me. Considering it's scale and the fact that it was running on PS360 it's a strong contender for 7th gen graphics King. The controls- one of my greatest gripes with the GTA series, were massively improved. The storyline was pretty decent. The missions were varied and fun, and the game world, though massive, was still very detailed and fun to explore.

There will always be naysayers, mostly mouth breathing cynical neckbeards who are jelly for obvious reasons; but GTA 5 is pretty easily the best Grand Theft Auto Ever, and one of the best games released last gen.

You can't actually compare those games. Watch_Dogs was over-hyped, and they promised too much. When the game was release I was disappointed. The physics were terrible, the graphics weren't considered new generation worthy, it is an unfinished game, and they still launched a DLC without fixing some bugs.

On the other hand, GTA V was a great game. In my opinion it was, and it is, the perfect game. I totally recommend it. It was really well polished, it has amazing graphics, and they will be better when they release it for PC, PS4 and XBox One. This game blew my mind, but the online mode got a little bit boring. I haven't played GTA V for about 2 months, but I still think it's an awesome game.

In my opinion Watch_Dogs was a real dissapointment. They spent so much money on advertising the game, built up an enormous hype among gamers and then tossed us an unfinished product (as it has been mentioned in the previous posts). It just seems like Ubisoft keeps hitting and missing when it comes down to new titles. I mean, what was the last good game they made?

The Grand Theft Auto series is unique. There is no game like any GTA game. Contrary to the popular belief, the other open world games including but not limited to Saints Row, Mafia, True Crime/Sleeping Dogs, Watch_Dogs, Just Cause, etc. are not at all GTA alternatives. My brother owns Watch_Dogs and it is a good game in my opinion. I do agree that the game was a horrific version on PC. Moreover, the Uplay system adds more disappointment. Nevertheless, Watch_Dogs is a good game to play. The small stuff like causing crashes by playing with traffic lights and stopping subways is cool. I haven't been through the storyline, but the free-roaming stuff is good in my opinion. I just hope that there is a good update from Ubisoft for Watch_Dogs which fixes the game. I heard an update is en route.

Agree with this. Also, Watch Dogs had very negative reviews on Steam for very major reasons. If you're thinking about purchasing it on PC please check whether your graphics card is compatible as a lot of GPU's have been having big trouble running the game including high end N Vidia ones
