I wonder how many people will be willing to spend their cryptocurrency at Wal-Mart.

I think the video hits it right as in Wal-Mart is most likely just looking into the markets and options should they enter the crypto world. One expert certainly isn't going to rebuild their payment systems, but can certainly provide ideas and guidance and potentially keep them from being left out in any future crypto changes. Overall, I find myself using Walmart more and more over Amazon due to better pricing and the ability to return stuff in stores, so it would be nice to see them try to take a step ahead in the market. (Although they really need to figure out or simply remove the third-party sellers on their online store first as those prices are out of control).

It would be a bad move, I would wager at least 60% of their customer base has no means of using it.

More Wal-mart customers in the future may own and earn some cryptocurrency from doing tasks like writing articles on websites, posting videos online, or watching advertisement videos on websites, so they may want to spend it at Wal-Mart and other local stores.

Exactly. To add to that, are people actually willing to use their Bitcoin to purchase things rather than own them as an investment? Imagine paying for something and then the BTC price increasing rapidly straight away :tearsofjoy:

I don't get why compnies like Walmart even want to take it, the money has safe standing and could be dangrous to take.

Maybe Wal-Mart want tech blogs and Cryptocurrency blogs to post about Wal-Mart after Wal-Mart hired a Cryptocurrency worker, so Wal-mart can get free word of mouth advertising from blog posts and social networking posts from people who post about Wal-Mart's Cryptocurrency plan.

I wish I understood cryptocurrency more. Right now it feels like it would be more of a gamble than an investment.
