alright, as said before we, the staff of Gamingforce were thinking of upgrading the forum to a better IPB software and then host it our self's which make us the admins the real owners of the forum.

After much discussion, researching into the upgrade process, and looking at all the pros and cons we have deiced to move forward with the upgrade process.

Now, as we upgrade we will probably will lose all of our current skins, some features and mods that are only on IPB 1.3 jcink, but be assured that your member data will be 100% transferred to the upgraded forum.

Be aware that things will be a bit different looking and will take time getting use to somethings but otherwise the new upgraded forum will look very nice and we will be able to offer all the members here so much more things and options.


So when will this happen you ask? It will either happen late tomorrow night or sometime early Friday morning or early afternoon Friday. When we upgrade we will turn this forum off and keep you updated on the upgrade process with the offline message. Once it is done we will email you from the new forum with the link and we will also post the link on the this forum's offline message (even though we will upgrade, this forum will still remain.)

So I hope everyone here stands behind this and hope the best that this works out greatly for us.

The only thing it affects in post exchange is that there will be a new link. If all goes well(and there is a 99% chance(always a small number for error)) you will keep your post count, and will not have to reregister.
 
if all goes well:

you will not lose post count
you will not lose your profile settings (some settings may need adjustment)
you will not lose anything forum related.


to my post exchange people all you need to do is follow the link which I will make sure you get.
 
Please note that it'll take some time for us to put things back together again, so bear with us after the migration process is complete.

It's likely that most settings and info may not be imported successfully, which means it'll have to be restored manually.

The link to the new forum will be different, so expect a sight temporary decrease in forum traffic, as no one may know about the new link just yet.
 
I'm sad to report that we will lose all skins during the upgrade process. So if there is any type of skin you would like to see please state it here in this topic.

I am also estimating the upgrade process to take a total of 1-2 hours and getting everything in order after the upgrade another 2-5 hours. So GF may not be open until Saturday and may close down very late tonight.
 
Hybrid Blue will possibly make a reappearance with some alterations on it, camo blue might show up also.
 
As of right now, we ask that you refrain from posting. As the posts from past this point will be lost. We are backing up the core data files.
 
upgrading will being at 12:00 PM CT. Until then your free to post as a final back up of this site will be taken. It is also possible that we won't open until tomorrow, it all depends on how things go.

Good, just take your time, sometimes things go wrong and may not reopen the forums in time.
