We lost 21 game studios this year

It's a fact of life, nothing lasts forever and this implies to video game studios. But this year alone the gaming world lost 20 studios!

Even though the list goes only to 20, Eurocom (makers of the last two james bond games for PS3) also just closed their doors recently.

Apparently the gaming industry hasn't recovered as well as we hoped...

it can never recover with $60 price tags, expensive systems and recycled games (the game being the same as last year, ie sport and gun games).

Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) a couple of years back actually broke down why games are $60.00 now.

The biggest component to the price tag? Advertising.

Also, I've been talking about the recycled game thing since before Modern Warfare 2 came out... Fanboys always have excuses.

It's a good point but can't be true. If that was the case why were wii games never $60?

How much of a media blitz do you see for Wii games?

Xbox 360 and PS3 games are advertised more overtly.

I'm pretty sure the Wii U isn't being advertised any more than Wii and it's prices are at $60.

And damn, that's a lot. We need a $40 price tag.
