I currently spend more time online reading about video games than actually playing them, especially with the general lack of games Nintendo has released recently.

Worse still, the one game I have an interest in, Ocarina of Time 3D, is being released in June and none of the other games I care about are being released before then. Anyone else here in the same situation?

Exactly the same, or only somwhat the same? Because if ti's exactly the same, then.... yes.
Except I'm excited about Portal 2.

Thats been slowly happening to me for a while. It would be true if /v/ wasn't making up spoilers about Portal 2 that just might be right.

Fortunately i've got a backlog to get through to last me until Ocarina of Time 3D comes out (and i certainly won't clear it before then), so i'm all right for games.
For anyone that has a shortage of games to play, i would certainly recommend going back and having a look at the games you missed the first time around. Especially the more niche titles (i could recommend many if you wanted).

^
Recommend away, I've been needing some new games to play.

Well, i think first of all i need to know what consoles you own.

PS3, PS2, DS, Gamecube. My laptop can run some older games in medium to low quality, such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

It happens to me as well, I don't play my 3DS very often as I am always browsing the internet to find the best online shop (where I can purchase brand new and cheap 3DS or DS games) whenever I have free time.

Well, let's start from the bottom (and i'm assuming you've already played, or at least tried, most of Nintendo's own games. Although there were a lot of good ones on the GameCube). (These lists are in no particular order)
GameCube: Skies of Arcadia, Tales of Symphonia, Doshin the Giant, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Beyond Good and Evil, Ikaruga, Chibi-Robo.

PS2: Persona 3 FES, Persona 4, any Shin Megami Tensei game, Shadow Hearts (all 3), Disgaea (1 & 2), Atelier Iris, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Klonoa, Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Dragon Quest VIII, Okami, Psychonauts, Onimusha, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Odin Sphere, Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love, Tales of the Abyss.

DS: Okamiden, The World Ends With You, Rune Factory (any), Ace Attorney (all), Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective, Avalon Code, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, Dragon Quest (any in main series), Final Fantasy III and IV, Luminous Arc 1 & 2, Soul Bubbles, Radiant Historia, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor, Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, Chrono Trigger, Advance Wars, Bangai-O Spirits, Rhythm Heaven, Lunar Knights, "Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors", Etrian Odyssey, Super Scribblenauts, Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, Hotel Dusk.

PS3: I don't own a PS3, so i'm not sure how qualified i am to comment on this. However the following is a list of games i've heard good things of, and plan to buy when i get a PS3 later this year: Demon Souls, Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, Eternal Sonata, 3D Dot Game Heroes.

I'm sure there must be something in there that interests you that you haven't played.

Awww yeah! I love Beyond Good and Evil, Chibi-Robo, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Okami (Im playing it right now actually), Psychonauts, The World Ends With You, and Advance Wars!

Do the Disgaea games have a continuing plot to them? Should I start from the beginning or go with three?

I didn't know Doshin the Giant had a release out of Japan! I've always wondered what it was since seeing the trophy in Melee.

How are the other Advance Wars? I only played the first.

Have you played BlazBlue? Do you need a stick to play it at its best?

Which Persona game is better in your opinion, 3 or 4?

Didn't know 999 was a text adventure. Don't you have to play through the game multiple times for the best ending?

I found Hotel Dusk for 5

The Disgaea games do have a sort-of continuous plot; it's not as if you wouldn't understand what was going on if you skipped ahead, but they are bets played in order.

Ah, about Doshin the Giant. You see i live in the UK, and it was released in Europe. But unfortunately never in America.

That one i can't answer; i'm just going on other people's recommendations to me regarding Advance Wars.

Obviously a stick is always ideal, but it plays perfectly well enough just on the normal PS3 controller (assuming you use the D-Pad of course).

Personally, i prefer Persona 4, since it's more personal, funnier, and cheerier. But it's really quite subjective, and certainly i would recommend playing both eventually (there's no need to play them in order; there very few interconnecting plot points, just a couple of cameos and a few brief mentions, and even then not in the main story).

Well, it's more of a visual novel. You do indeed have to play through multiple times, but it's well worth it, especially as all of the other endings are interesting and sufficiently different (if sometimes harrowing) enough in their own right.

Oh cool that posted, sorry the last one was cut off I was still typing.

I'm definitely getting Hotel Dusk, thanks for the recommendations! I'll try and pick some up when I've got extra cash.

I don't own GameCube, PS2, DS and PS3 >__>

Since 2005 I have been playing games in my computer and my previous consoles until I bought 3DS.

It's really hard to find a brand new Final Fantasy IV for DS in Sydney. Most stores doesn't have it or they only have the pre-owned.

Not sure how much this will help, living in Australia and all. If this site ships things to Australia without ridiculous shipping you'll love it. I practically bought my entire PS2 library through it.

Nin I find myself in a similar situation. However I have been playing on my PSP recently and a little (VERY little) on the Xbos 360. I hardly play Nintendo and that's because there aren't any games that I really want to play.

Lego Star Wars III got a little boring since I've beaten the first two and Complete Saga. Pokemon unfortunately has grown somewhat unappealing - same old "catch 'em all, train 'em all, beat the rest" thing. Every other DS game I've played to death except Mario and Luigi 3 but I don't play it due to lack of wanting to play the console anyway.

Same goes for the Wii - I've played the games to death or got bored trying to complete them. Kirby Epic Yarn is a fine example of that, there's no real challenge so I got a bit bored. Pikmin I played for several days straight trying to beat it and because I played it so much I grew tired of it.

Right now the PSP is the console chewing up the most of my time.

Thanks, I consider that price for FF IV is really cheap. Are they selling brand new or pre-owned games?

Are they reliable? How long is it takes for them to delivered it to you?

Edit: I tried to put my address but itt seems that they didn't ship to Australia.

That particular game is pre-owned, not that it matters if they can't deliver to you. But what have you got against pre-owned games, exactly?
Anyway, i'm sure there are plenty of other sites that could deliver the game to you.

I don't have anything against Pre-owned games. I myself also likes to buy pre-owned games as well. But for some tittles, I wish to have it brand new instead of pre-owned ^^

Sometimes there is not much different in terms of price between pre-owned games or brand new games, so I would prefer to have it new if this is the case.

Actually I have found lots of online sites that sell games but not all of them has a good shipping price or game price. While Amazon has good price for games but the shipping cost is damn expensive. Ebay is another options to buy brand new / pre-owned games but there is a risk that the seller sells a fake copy. Though not all of them sells fake copy, most seller refused to send it to Australia and only willing to send it to their own home country.

Currently I only relies on planet axel and ozgameshop. While the others either they are rip off or not that good enough (I have been checking the customer reviews about the company as well). If you know any good online site, please do let me know.

Edit: This is the link to the lists of online sites that I got.

[INSERT LIST]

What the fuck is this? What does this have to do with the topic?

ViewtifulDamacy asked me for the list. Anyway, it is somewhat relevant to the topic of having no new (to you, not necessarily brand new) games to play.

And Andy, have you tried videogamesplus.ca? They ship to Australia (i think) and have reasonable prices.
