What are the best apps for 4K video editing on PC?

Until recently, I was a Mac user. I just made the big leap to PC a few weeks ago, and now I am ready to start video editing.

Specifically, I want to do 4K editing. But I have no idea what software I should choose. I was looking at these apps for 4K video editing for PC. I’ve heard some people say that Movavi is a bit like iMovie for PC, which has me considering it. But right now I am just gathering info. If anyone here does 4K editing on PC, what are you using, and what do you like about it?

Movavi does look iMovie/Final Cut inspired. If there's a free trial, you can use it and see if its interface is similar enough to iMovie for you.

I'm a Final Cut guy, so I can't offer much help in the Windows world.

I don't have any up to date info but I recently checked out Microsoft clipchamp and it's already installed on your windows PC and it's far better than anything I was using back in 2013.

Da Vinci Resolve is free and really OP.

I've heard good things about Vegas video editing, otherwise Adobe video editing is supposed to be the king software.

The problem with Adobe is the subscription pricing. $20 a month is kinda ridiculous unless you’re getting paid to do this.

Seriously, I wouldn't pay it either. It's too expensive.
