I know a few of the pros that play League of Legends are always wearing them. Evidently, they help reduce eye strain when you game and by extension can help improve your game play. Now, they can be a bit pricey, but I've seen them on sale and I'm considering pouncing on it. What do you guys think? Do any of you have a pair? Do you feel it's a bit gimmicky?

Appreciate any thoughts or advice.

I don't have a pair myself, but I see that there are some pro gamers who use them. I don't game for long times so I don't really have any eye strain, therefore I am not considering getting them. I you game a lot and have eye strain, you should definitely think about getting them. But I think this is mainly for the gamers that play games at quite a high level. At the end, you are the one making the decision, so it's up to you if you get them or not.

They look pretty good. I think if you are a Pro Gamer, they could be worth it since Eye strain is not very good for your eyes.

The design on these glasses are indeed quite amazing, and even though it feels rather geeky to have a pair of those, they don't look bad at all!

Personally I don't really think that it's worth your money, unless you game a LOT, and you care a lot about your eyes. If I was a professional gamer, i would probably consider having a pair aswell, if I was famous enough I might even get paid to wear them on tournaments and such (as it would be like advertising the glasses...). Another thing that makes me think that it's not worth it, is the fact that there is already computer software out there that does the exact same thing, and on top of that: it's free.

Some may argue that it's not going to be helping as much as a pair of glasses, but I don't really know what to believe of that... I mean, it may be so that it's not helping as much, but I'm not really sure how one would test that, as testing by yourself may not really work due to the fact that your opinion might be biased.

I don't currently have this program installed, but I have used in the past, with great success. When I was sitting by the computer a lot, and I felt that I was constnatly getting a headache by sitting at the computer for too long, I found this program, installed it: and my headaches were gone. The program in question is called F.lux, and you can download it for free on Linux/Mac/Windows here: https://justgetflux.com/

It works in a way that, when the sun is up, your screen will be "normal", but when the sun has gone down, the screen will become yellow-ish, much like the colour of the Gunnars. You can turn it off anytime you want, but if you don't turn it off (and constantly have it on) it will do it's work automatically, as long as it's set-up correctly. It's one of those things that you never have to really think about, it just works on it's own.

I don't think they are worth it, it's $70 - $80. I don't game usually for that long so I don't get any eye strain when I play Video Games. I guess they could be useful to someone who is a pro gamer, but can't you just take a 5 minute break instead?

I really wished I had these about a year or two ago. My current job has me behind a desk all day typing. A couple of months into my job my vision would get blurry and my head would start killing me. I strained my eyes so bad I permanently damaged one of them. I had to start wearing prescription glasses. So, while they may seem pricey, I think it's a worthwhile investment for anyone behind any sort of screen all day.

I'd love to have a pair. Though the cost outweighs my need for them at the moment. Sure if I had the spare money I would get them. I game enough to need them. I would want them in a different color frame though. Like black. I know Dyrus from TSM (pro LoL player) wears them a lot. Though I don't know if he does because he likes them or is endorsing them.
