What do you make in Gmod?

Almost all of us Steam users have Gmod; it's the greatest sandbox out there! And people have made some really cool things with it.
For example, I made this:

Aside from seeing people making mods outta those things? Nothing I guess? I don't have an account there. And the only time I'll make one is unless I try to buy the PC version of Pirate Warriors 3 just to port allot of character models online in GMOD. I just need to figure out how to do it?

Usually when I'm playing Garry's Mod, I don't really tend to create things when is Sandbox mode, but moreso try out other people's mods upon downloading them from the Steam workshop. I kinda find creating things on Garry's Mod a bit tricky and frustrating.

I'm surprised that no one has done a mod with the Family Guy character models or stages from the recent game that came out last generation Xbox 360 and PS3?

I just started playing Garry's Mod some days ago, although I heard about it since early 2014.
It's really fun, but how do I make my own stuff?
