What do you think of people riding electric skateboards and scooters on the sidewalk?

I feel it can be unsafe for people to ride electric skateboards and scooters on the sidewalk when people are ride them at a fast speed around people who walk slower. There is a chance people don't see a skateboarder or scooter rider coming down the street, and the people on the sidewalk get roll over by a skateboard and scooter.
In Australia (at least in my area), it's against the law to ride on the footpath if you are over a certain age.

I don't mind it as along you like walk to the side or watch your surroundings, but I usually don't see them often on the streets anyways.
Well, electric scooters are bad for the side walk.
But electric skateboards.....I don't know....you can't exactly ask those people to use the road either.....

I feel a slow speed limit for sidewalks could be a good idea, so everyone is safer on the street.

Skateboards are fine, but scooters I feel should be in the street/road but off to the side away from the cars perhaps?
