What does "HP" stand for?

When playing a video game, what do you call the amount of HP you have? People name it different things, but I tend to call it hit points unless the game says otherwise.

Haha, I can understand that - but in terms of gaming, what do you think of? Health points, hit points ect.

Can mean anything, regarding gaming. Health Points, Heart Points, Hit Point(s) and that's about it really. Maybe Horsepower and Harry Potter

The first thing that comes to my mind regarding video games it hit points. Hewlett-Packard definitely comes to mind as well.

Hit Points. The Mario RPGs call them Heart Points though, which is the nicer way of saying it.
