I know most of you will raise your hand for World of Warcraft as I spent a few years ($$$) over there as well. However, what other games have held your attention for a seemingly long period of time?
As for myself, Terraria and Minecraft have taken up enormous amounts of my time. I swear I've played Earthbound from the starting point to the 80% marker at least 5 times from constantly quitting it, losing savse, and returning years later to try to wrap it up.
In my case it's a tie between Dota and Mount & Blade:Warband. These two have chewed through my free time more than sleeping did in some ocassions! Just in Dota 2 I have clocked more than seven hundred hours and if we add the time I put into Dota 1 then we'd get around two thousand hours. As for Warband, it never gets old and I barely touched some aspects of the game! (Not to mention the wide range of mods. . .)
I spent more time then I ever want to know on Everquest, Everquest 2, FFXI, and FFXIV. I am talking about being logged into theo games for years of my life. 24hrsx365 played days. I have been trying to quit mmorpgs off and on but they are like crack and I am addicted.
I probably spent the most time on the GTA games. I really got addicted to it at some point, especially some of the older ones because I had a bit more time then. I played some of the older games twice and even went back to them from time to time just to mess around and cause riots, and that's even apart from replaying minigames I liked over and over.
Has to be World of Warcraft by a mile. I played that game to death, pretty much achieving everything I ever wanted to in it. Not sure I could go back to the game now, I don't think I could enjoy it casually. We will see when WoD comes if it lures me back in or not
Way too much Dota 2 for me. I have nearly 2000 hours clocked in to it, and I just can't stop playing it. I'm surely going to go over 2200 hours or something by the end of the summer if I keep playing as much as I'm playing right now. The most I've played apart from dota 2 is probabaly "just" a few hundred hours of CSS, or Civilization V.
It's a sad truth, and I'm way too addicted to this crap to even realise it myself, but well... It's fun sometimes too, haha
I have spent the most amount of time playing Minecraft with my Friends in Multiplayer, playing the Hunger Games, The Walls, and helping my friends build stuff. I've been playing Minecraft since Beta 1.5. I have also spent around 70 hours playing Team Fortress 2 (dancing, playing mvm, afk servers)
Going off of my Steam profile, it's got to be Borderlands 2 by the looks of it. I'm sure I've spent more time on other games on consoles over the years, but I can't tell you what one obviously since I don't have any actual numbers for them.
