You bought Super Metroid on Virtual Console and not EarthBound? I freakin preach the franchise all the time and you don't even bother to look into EarthBound (Mother 2?) You could at least support the franchise with 1 more sale...
Anyway, I beat a lot of older games in 2013. Mario Kart 7, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mother 3, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Pokemon X, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Melee, Super Mario 64...and I can't remember anything else, but I'm sure there's more.
I lessened my talk of Mother by a LANDSLIDE. QUIT COMPLAINING!...especially when it's not even constant. Perhaps I should up the talk a bit if you want to be noobISH about it? XD Just kidding, but seriously, I only mention it when Nin3DS' topics set you up for it....
I beat SMBFSP (SMBLL) last summer and Pokemon X (If you call beating the Champion as beating). I don't know if I should count KIU because I did get it last Christmas but I don't know if I should call it "beat". Oh yeah, I did beat Sonic the Hedgehog as well.
I didn't buy many games that were released in 2013.
Just Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon and Pokemon X (completed both).
I did however beat a few old ones.

Crush 3D
Gunman Clive
Resident Evil Revelations
Paper Mario SS
Also a few other VC games I downloaded.

I think you freakin preach the franchise way too much. It's really starting to get annoying. I think you should stay on topic and just answer the question that is being asked. None of what you said had anything to do with the topic.

Haha Super Metroid was $0.30 when I got it!! I might get EarthBound at some point though...
This is actually the first year that the majority of the games I beat were from this year. I would blame my new job allowing me to finally buy a game or two each month at full price. It's also the lowest amount of games that I've beaten in a long time. Gonna step it up this year though! I have 15 games in my backlog to complete this year. Already knocked Super Mario 3D World off that list and I'm getting close to completing Bastion too.
I know this will sound like a joke but it is dead serious and Stonewoot and tigressStar can back me on this one - It has been a slow year. :/ that is like only 1/4 of what I normally accomplish but between helping my grandparents for 6+ months and lack of money I didn't get to many of the games I had wanted to.

Super Robot Taisen O. G. Sagas: Endless Frontier by far. It was one of the only games I have ever given a 10 out of 10. (Posted a review on this forum as well) Tomb Raider 2013 is the other one I gave a 10 out of 10. The only other game I gave a 10 to was Super Scribblenauts when it came out several years ago.
s, Battlefield 3, Pokémon Y, Pokemon X, New Super Mario Bros. 2, Paper Mario:Sticker Star, Crashmo, Pushmo, and Pokemon Yellow (again). I shall try to do more this year!
